Knoll Lake Campground
For the tent camper that is looking for a campground just for them you can't beat Knoll Lake Campground. While the Forest Service says RVs under 32 ft, having camped there I don't see it. The biggest rig I saw was maybe 16-18 ft. The well groomed, wide open spaces provide table, fire-ring, cooking grill, vault toilets, drinking water and boat ramp as well as a level area for your tent in a magnificent Ponderosa Pine setting with plenty of room between you and the next guy, which makes this campground ideal.
In addition to the great campground, Knoll Lake also boasts a great lake for trout fishing from the shore or a small boat. If fishing isn't on your agenda, you can sit back on shore, or cruise the deep blue waters of Knoll Lake in your small boat, and take in the beauty of the lakes location as much of Knoll Lake is bounded by steep canyon walls and sheer soaring cliffs.
Up next is RVing on the Rim.
