With its Old World charm and intimate conversation areas, Armitage Bistro offers a relaxing setting for gathering with friends. Leather couches and comfortable seating offer semi-private conversation areas. At night, the dim lighting and music give this charming place a very romantic atmosphere. The outdoor patio offers is a lovely place to dine during the winter months when the weather is beautiful.

Armitage offers an eclectic selection of fine wines, premium spirits, specialty martinis and imported beers, so it is a great place to kick back after work for happy hour. The variety of appetizers and entrees is also of the highest quality.

A friend and I stopped for dinner one night. We thought we’d eat light, so we decided to split a salad and two appetizers. Turns out, that was enough food for an army! The antipasto platter (with your choice of cheeses) was to die for, the hummus was outstanding and the baby field greens salad was terrific. One of the waiters told me his favorite dish is the Whiskey Butter Ribeye — a 12 ounce grilled ribeye steak topped with a whiskey compound butter and served over baby red potatoes and summer vegetables. You can bet I’m going back some day to try that delectable combo! Prices range from $8 for appetizers to $22 for entrees.

Armitage offers plenty of specials to tempt you back. The Bring it Back Monday Special is pretty neat. Bring a receipt from a visit the previous week and you’ll receive 50% off your bill from 6 to 10 p.m. The staff say Monday nights are hopping, so be prepared for a crowd! Tuesdays you can receive 50% a bottle of wine with the purchase of food. Wednesday nights are wine tasting nights. You’ll receive a flight of 5 for $10, and the night I was there, every single wine in the flight was outstanding. Thursdays are 50% off ladies nights. And Sundays are reverse happy hours from 7 – 10 p.m. Located in the DC Ranch Marketplace, there are eclectic boutiques and other restaurants nearby.
