You might not notice Village Tavern as it is almost invisible in its end spot of an exclusive shopping mall in Scottsdale, but I assure that once you find it, you’ll want to go back again and again. I make it a habit of taking all my visitors (from all areas of the country) to Village Tavern. Each time I introduce people to it, they ask if we can go back one more time before they leave.

Inside, the décor makes you feel like you are in a mountain lodge, with a huge hearth and fireplace. Cozy seating and mood lighting affords diners a pleasant atmosphere. I’ve never seen a staff as helpful and conscientious as those at Village Tavern. They are unobtrusive but extremely watchful and seem to appear by magic as they anticipate your need for refills. In addition, meals are served promptly with very little waiting.

Try the Gruyere & Bacon Flatbread with caramelized onions as an appetizer. As a connoisseur of salads, I think the Spinach Salad is among the best I have ever eaten. The Marinated Flank Steak entrée with wild rice and steamed vegetables is so good that I order it every time I visit. Okay, that doesn’t make me an expert on the whole menu, however, the guests I have taken there have assured me that all the dishes they have tried are of exceptional quality.

Village Tavern also offers an award-winning list of premium wines and has received the Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence. A wide array of fine *censored*tails, draft beers, microbrews and soft drinks are available to suit every taste!

A typical bill for two people is around $15 – $20 for lunch and $25 – $35 per person for dinner … an exceptionally low price for the quality of food, beverages and four-star service you will find at Village Tavern.
