Asia de Cuba Mondrian Restaurant

October 2, 2008

{openx:1}Internationally renowned restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow has outdone himself at Asia de Cuba at the Scottsdale Mondrian resort. For travelers with a cultured palate and a love of variety, the combination of Asian and Cuban cuisines is truly unique.

The pristine white decor of Asia de Cuba is ethereal making you feel a little like you are dining on a cloud. After your first bite, you realize you have really have landed in food heaven.

For instance, savor the unique flavor the Honey-Rhum Glazed Pot Roast of Pork with sautéed Shanghai bok choy, fried plantains and enoki mushrooms. An outstanding accompaniment to this dish is the plantain-fried rice with avocado salad (almost a meal in itself) and which is like nothing you have ever tasted before. Top that all off with the Asian Pear Bread Pudding — a traditional bread pudding served with spiced Asian pears, cheesecake ice cream and rhum anglaise. Wow!

Entrée prices at dinner range from $30 to $60, but it is worth every penny! Enjoy!
