The Heber Valley Railroad in Winter is a great to explore a winter wonderland. During the winter months, you have five great excursions to choose from including The Lakeside Limited, Soldier Hollow Express, The Polar Express, Jingle Bells and Whistles and the Tube ‘N Train.

Heber Valley Railroad – Lakeside Limited

This is a spectacular scenic excursion along the shores of Deer Creek Reservoir and the base of majestic Mt. Timpanogos. It’s an “over the river and through the woods” view of Heber Valley’s breathtaking winter scenery. If you are lucky, you may catch glimpses of deer, bald eagles, elk, fox and more.

Heber Valley Railroad – Soldier Hollow Express

The Soldier Hollow Express will take you to incredible winter view of the Wasatch Mountains and the beautiful Heber Valley. Enjoy the snowy peaks and the pines trees all dressed in winter white.

Heber Valley Railroad – The Polar Express

During the holidays, kids will love the experience aboard The Polar Express. Elves serve hot drinks and treats while sharing favorite carols and a Christmas story. Once the train reaches the North Pole, the kids eyes will really light up when Santa climbs aboard to talk with them.

Heber Valley Railroad – Jingle Bells and Whistles

This is a unique train and sleigh adventure! You will experience the winter wonderland of the Heber Valley and surrounding mountains, first by train, then by sleigh! The journey by train takes you to a wonderful spot where horse drawn sleighs or wagons (dependent on snow conditions) await to take you through beautiful country to a ranch shelter. There, you’ll enjoy hot treats and drinks as you belly up to the pot-bellied stove, while listening to tales told by an authentic cowboy poet. Then, climb aboard again and return to the Heber Depot.

Heber Valley Railroad – Tube ‘N Train

Experience winter fun aboard the Tube ‘N Train. Combine a great train ride with the rush of snow tubing on a 1,000-foot groomed hill with tow lift service. You’ll enjoy 90 minutes of Utah’s best snow tubing before returning to the train depot.
